About Our Chef
Over the years, Néstor Núñez’s career has grown from a simple need to support his family to an unbridled love of gastronomy. As a young chef, originally from Boquete, Núñez worked under the guidance of Panamanian Chef Oliver Blond to perfect his culinary craft. The kitchens, bars, and food outlets at our resort use wholesome ingredients, which may include peanuts, tree nuts, seeds, nut-based oils, eggs, shellfish, shrimp and shrimp paste, seafood and seafood pastes, soy, milk, wheat and other items that may be potential allergens.
Due to the all-inclusive nature of our resort, and the large scale of our food and beverage operations, we cannot guarantee that food items will not come in contact with potential allergens even if a particular dish does not normally include these ingredients.
Guests who may have severe allergic reactions to certain foods and allergens should take precautions. The resort cannot guarantee that exposure to potential allergens will not occur.
Special Diets / Dietary Restrictions
We frequently receive questions regarding special dietary needs and restrictions. In an all-inclusive setting, we are not able to accommodate individually tailored meals for specific guests. We do offer a wide variety of meal choices, which includes salads, fresh fruits and vegetables, and vegetarian options. However, we are not able to cater to specific individual needs such as vegan, gluten free, allergen free, religious observance, or similar custom made dishes.

We can’t wait to welcome you to Los Establos Boutique Resort, Panama. Please note that check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is 12 PM (noon) on the date of your departure. In the event that you arrive prior to 3 PM on the date of check-in, or would like to sleep in, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. If your plans involve a last-minute excursion, our front desk staff will be more than happy to store your luggage, or make other arrangements to suit your needs.

Does the hotel charge a Resort Fee?
Yes, a Resort Fee of US $24 per room, per night applies to all bookings. The Resort Fee is payable locally at the resort and includes complimentary in-room Wi-Fi.
What is your payment policy?
A $600 deposit is required to reserve within 72 hrs upon booking. Full payment required 30 days prior to resort arrival. Excemption: payment required 60 days holiday peak.
Can I bring my pet or service animal?
In accordance with local law, Pets and service animals are not permitted at this resort. No exceptions.

Where exactly is Los Establos located?
We are nestled in the quaint, mountain town of Boquete, located in the Providence of Chiriqui on the west coast of Panama. We are a 45-minute drive to David Enrique Malek International Airport.
How do I get there?
You will need to fly into Panama Tocumen International Airport (PTY) and from there, take a connecting flight to David Enrique Malek International Airport. Once you arrive, you will take an approx. 45-minute taxi drive (US $25 per person) to Los Establos.
Do I need a visa in addition to a passport?

What is the weather like at Los Establos?
It’s typically 75°F (20°C) and sunny, with a light breeze from the North or South. Unpredictable but refreshing light showers, called Bajareque, can occur during the day, which is why we recommend that you pack a light windbreaker. Our temperatures are even and comfortable throughout the year.
What is the local currency?
Panama is home to the Balboa, otherwise known as the Panamanian Dollar. However, everything at Los Establos, and most surrounding businesses, can be paid for with United States Dollars.

What can I do at Los Establos?
Most on-site activities are relaxed and self-paced, meaning it is entirely dependent upon how you want to spend your time. We personally recommend sitting on the large terrace and taking in the breathtaking sights of Volcan Baru, Panama’s only volcano. Aside from the wonderful view, you can take a refreshing dip in our pool, explore our gardens, enjoy a nap on one of our lounge chairs, or challenge a friend to a game of billiards on our terrace. If you’re in the mood to stay in, you’ll be happy to know that all of our rooms are equipped with satellite flat-screen televisions so you don’t have to miss a single episode of your favorite show. You can also indulge in a relaxing spa treatment or workout in our fully-air conditioned fitness center. We also offer a selection of board games in our community lounge where you can catch the latest sports game or sing karaoke with friends. In the evenings, you’ll want to join us for our version of ‘Happy Hour’ in the main house, which includes full bar service offering mixed cocktails, wine, and spirits. After just one day at Los Establos, you will feel both relaxed and refreshed.

BY AIR: You will need to fly into Panama Tocumen International Airport (PTY) – Panama City – and from there, transfer to the airport’s National Terminal to take a connecting flight to David Enrique Malek International Airport (DAV). If you arrive at PTY Terminal 1, you will need to take a bus to the National Terminal. If you arrive at PTY Terminal 2, you can easily walk to the National Terminal (approx. 5 mins.) Time between connecting flights from PTY to DAV is often very limited. Please arrive to the National Terminal promptly to ensure your departure. Once you arrive at DAV, you will take an approx. 45-minute taxi drive (US $25 per person) to Los Establos.
